Across the path of time, many revivals of Giambattista Bodoni’s types have been released by various foundries under the name Bodoni. Among these different re-cuttings and renditions of the iconic typeface, the most popular remains the one designed by Morris Fuller Benton for American Type Founders (ATF) that was released in 1909. And it is ATF Bodoni's design elements in which the type design of our PF Bodoni Text is deeply rooted.

With a less formalised and more casual design approach that is evident in PF Bodoni Text's letterforms, this new version of an iconic classic is characterised by a more human, friendly and easy-to-read character.

For optimum legibility, the rather extreme contrast between the thick and thin lines of the previous Bodonis - an element the Bodonis are known for - have been eliminated in order to make the font suitable for long texts at small point sizes.
