PF Highway Gothic
PF Highway Gothic was based on the original sheets of the standard alphabets used for highway signs and other byways in the US, which were reinterpreted to fit typographic standards. Five separate families were designed in 2001 with an extensive weight range from Thin to Black, true-italics and support for Latin and Greek. Specimens were published in Parachute's 2003 book/catalog. PF Highway Gothic is a very clean and legible typeface with a well-balanced texture. Based on these early Parachute typefaces, a new multiscript family was developed in 2005 under the name Highway Sans which was released online in 2007 as part of our Premium Collection.
