Created after years of studying different writing techniques of the Byzantine era, PF Konstantinople's letterforms are a long-awaited typographic tribute to the evolution of a system from its beginnings to its end -one that almost coincides with the invention of printing. The typeface's forms – reproduced with artistic freedom yet with the utmost respect to their origins –are characterized by various ligatures that provide PF Konstantinople with a distinctive look, evident in the historical old manuscripts and iconography of the Byzantine era. The typeface is complemented with a series of rare initials.
