PF Regal Text
Awards
Regal was initiated following a brief which required a typeface that is elegant, luxurious and vibrant enough to reflect the female sensitivity and take into consideration a modern woman who is more connected, open-minded and eager to try a whole host of new products and services. Targeting this consumption-wise and well-educated woman, we designed a whole series of 5 related superfamilies (text, display, finesse, swash and stencil) which not only emphasize femininity but also reflect both the romantic as well as the dynamic side of the female personality. These families share common attributes but they differ in content according to each one’s usage. PF Regal Text was specifically designed for body text with a variety of styles which includes two separate ones for Regular weight. Regular A was designed to be used on fine papers (magazines, catalogs, etc), whereas Regular B is recommended for harsh papers such as the ones used for newspapers. The whole family is comprised of 12 weights with an average of 960 glyphs per weight. It supports simultaneously Latin, Cyrillic and Greek and comes with many alternate glyphs. The Regal superfamily has received among other awards the highly acclaimed Grand Prix by Red Dot.
