We are a digital type foundry and design agency, specialising in bespoke type design, corporate typefaces and lettering. Manos Daskalakis is Parachute’s art director and literally the man responsible for bringing the type foundry's many projects into the limelight via exhaustingly curated branding and design. Daskalakis studied visual communication at the Vakalo Art & Design College. As early as 1995 he created his first fanzine on punk music and Athens' diverse street culture. Involved in editorial design and typography since 1999, he has designed many high profile magazines (HOMME and PAPER to name a few) and newspapers providing a detailed eye on eligible, straight forward design ethos. He has worked for publishing and other companies before entering Parachute's team as Art Director and the go-to partner in crime for premium type-heavy projects that speak volumes. A collaborator of Typeroom and Parachute Typefoundry since 2015, Daskalakis bears a deep knowledge of typography's many qualities and advantages in regards to efficient design. He would totally agree with Don Draper's quote on creativity. Make it simple, but significant.
