What started out as an online platform for the Typophile Generation, TYPEROOM developed into one of the most influential type blogs today as well as a creative hub and concept store in the historic centre of Athens/Greece. This is where culture meets typography!
We are a digital type foundry and design agency, specialising in bespoke type design, corporate typefaces and lettering. We use the power of typography to transform living brands to global brands, enrich their identity and localise their language in emerging markets. Alexandros Papalexis
Alexandros Papalexis graduated from the University of Graphic Arts and Design of Athens in 1991 and ever since he is devoted to the power of the eye. The graphic designer, illustrator and type designer Papalexis made a name for himself via creating corporate packages for leading Greek companies and the most prominent music labels and local artists. A frequent collaborator of Parachute® and the recipient of numerous awards, prizes, commendations and publications both in Greece (EVGE, Ermis) and abroad (Pentawards, Red Dot), Papalexis has designed ten typefaces for PF's line of products -enter PF Kids, PF Junior, PF Playskool, PF Freescript, PF Panel, etc. “A graphic designer's knowledge of typography is the backbone of ones creativity and aesthetics" says Papalexis, a truly versatile designer whose playful and vibrant type designs enrich the Parachute Fonts extensive type system universe.
